John L. Alexander, 1866-1924

Death of John L. Alexander

John L. Alexander of near Mooresville died suddenly Thursday morning at 1 o’clock at his home. Mr. Alexander was born September 26, 1866. He was a son of the late George W. and Isabel Alexander of Cabarrus county, No. 2 township. He is survived by a wife and three small children, also three brothers and three sisters, namely W.S. Alexander of near Cornelius, J.E. Alexander of Charlotte, and T. Neal Alexander of Cabarrus County, No. 2 township, Mrs. J.D. Whitley of Huntersville, Mrs. L.F. Christenbury of Mooresville and Mrs. J.H. Walker of Mecklenburg County; also two half sisters, Mrs. Nannie Harkey of Mecklenburg County and Mrs. D.M. Barnette of Cabarrus County.

The funeral service was held in Mooresville Friday morning at 11 o’clock at the First Baptist Church. Interment was made in Mooresville cemetery. The pall bearers were nephews of the deceased. The flower girls were nieces.
