Ray Miller Found Guilty of Assaulting Pete Garner, Aug. 10, 1924

Miller Found An Assailant. . . Assault on Pete Garner Settled by Police

With the recent arrest of Ray Miller, the mysterious assault on Pete Garner no longer remained a secret, and Saturday morning the affair was settled when Miller was fined $20 for assault and ordered to pay Garner’s hospital bills.

Garner remained in Watts hospital for some time with a badly injured head, and at the same time refused to tell how he received the injury or who struck him. Police investigated the case, however, and Miller was arrested as the assailant.
