Tuesday afternoon Mr. C.G. Barnett brought his wife and child to town from his home west of the city, and attempted to park his roadster in front of Eugene Fink’s jewelry store, but for some reason the brakes would not work and the little Lizzie attempted to break through the large show window. No one was injured, but a new glass and sign will be the damages assessed against Mr. Barnett for the unruly actions of his machine.
