Mr. I. R. Cooper of the State Department of Agriculture has arrived and started the work of giving the cattle of this county the tubercular test as fast as the work can be done. Every cow, calf, heifer, steer and bull will be tested and every one found to be affected will be killed, and the owner will be paid for it by the federal government.
It is believed by many that this is one of the foremost steps in the dairying business yet taken.
The County Commissioners passed an order some time ago that this work be done as soon as the State could get a man to do the job. It is estimated that it will take about 12 months to complete the job.
