Two Cases in Magistrate’s Court

There were two cases before Justice of the Peace A.C. Livermon this morning. John Wilkins, colored, was charged with maintaining a nuisance, found guilty and fined $5 and costs.

Jim Cotton and Geo. Wilkins, both colored, were before the court on the charge of an affray last Saturday night, which occurred just outside of town limits. They were brought before the court by Chief of Police Johnson. Cotton was required to pay costs and Wilkinson was fined $10 and costs.
