Miss Audrey Lee Wilson became the bride of Roy William Bennett on June 29. They are making their home at Illion, N.Y.
Mr. Bennett is extensively engaged in the automobile business at Illion. The bride is the daughter of F.L. Wilson of this community.
During the war Miss Wilson took a position in Government work at Illion and has been employed there since that time. She has many friends in this county.
McCALL-KERKENDALL
Miss Gertie Mae McCall and William Kerkendall motored with some friends to South Carolina on the 4th of July and were quietly married. Miss McCall is a well known and popular young lady of Transylvania. Mr. Kerkendoll is from Hendersonville, and has many friends and relatives there. They will make their home in Hendersonville. (Groom’s last name was spelled Kerkendall on two references and Kerkendoll on one.)
TAYLOR-GOOCH
Roland L. Gooch and Miss Ruth Taylor were married Wednesday evening, the ceremony being performed by Rev. John R. Hay.
The groom is a resident of Oxford, N.C., The bride is from Boone, but she has been visiting her sister, Mrs. O.H. Orr, at whose home the marriage took place.
