Ollen Taylor, 25-year-old white man, was caught in Shoemaker’s grocery store at Fifth and College streets, Friday night about 11 o’clock by Detectives Pittman and Gribble. He was unable to give a bond of $500 when bound over to higher court for trial Saturday by Recorder Wade H. Williams.
Taylor entered Forkner’s store earlier in the night and stole a small amount of money from the cash register, the police reported. Detectives Gribble and Pittman were seeking a clue as to this robbery when they discovered Taylor in Shoemaker’s store. He effected an entrance into the store by cutting the front door glass and unlocking the door by reaching his hand through the glass to the inside lock.
