Mecklenburg Men Killed in World War to Be Honored Memorial Day, 1921

World War List for This County. . . Names Will Be Placed on Tablet to be Unveiled Memorial Day

The roster of names of men of Mecklenburg county who died in the world war, as compiled by the Liberty Hall chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, is nearly complete, according to Mrs. Isaac Hardeman, member of the chapter and one of those who has worked industriously to complete the roster. The roster of names will be placed on the memorial tablet that is to be erected on the court house lawn on next Armistice Day, November 11th. The members of the chapter will appreciate any suggestions, the members of it say, or any corrections.

The home service department of the American Red Cross, the executive committee of the American Legion and the office of the Adjutant General have assisted in making the roster as complete as it is.

The records committee of Liberty Hall chapter is composed of Mrs. Isaac Hardeman, chairman; Mrs. Croft Woodruff, Miss Daisy Cuthbertson, Miss Mamie Robinson and Miss Mary Graham. Mrs. Hugh Montgomery is chairman of the committee of the chapter which will have charge of the unveiling. Jackson Beall, commander, and Lee Folger, representing the American Legion, will also have a part in the unveiling.
