Raleigh, Feb. 18—The Poole anti-evolution resolution, consideration of which caused an adjournment of the house of representatives last night amid tumultuous scenes when the crowd of spectators refused to leave the floor of the house, came up in that body this morning.
Representative Turlington of Iredell led off the proponents of the resolution which came up on a minority report. Previously the floor had been cleared of all except those entitled to be there by the order of the speaker.
After considerable discussion, a motion to table the minority report was lost 48 to 52, and the discussion continued.
