Albert Knight, 18 Months Old, Recovering After 3 Days Alone Without Food or Water, Oct. 26, 1926

Child Lost Three Days Is Recovering

Monroe, Oct. 25—Little Albert Knight, 18-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Knight of Union County, who strayed away last Monday and who was lost in a briar bed for 64 hours, enduring three cold nights and a drenching rain without food or water, is fast recovering from its exposure in Ellen Fitzgerald Hospital here. It was laughing and playing today and has recognized all of its family. While the improvement has been good, Dr. Mahoney says that on account of its weakened condition it will be some time before the little fellow can be taken from the hospital.
