Wounded and Gassed, Pvt.
Hill Returns
Private Elmore Hill, Company D, 105th Engineers,
A.E.F.
Private Elmore Hill, who also might be called one of our
pioneers, in that he had lived in Badin since 1913, has come back home after
being honorably discharged. He was in active service for seven months in France
and Belgium, and he bears two wound stripes on his arm, having been wounded and
gassed during the fight on the St. Quentin front.
We are glad to have him back again, and are proud that he
represented Badin so well on the battle line against the Hun.
