Lenoir Will Give
Welcome To Boys
Mr. L.H. Coffey of Lenoir, chairman of the Caldwell
exemption board, passed through Hickory this morning en route home from
Raleigh, where he attended the celebration in honor of the 113th
regiment and greeted the home boys in Battery E. This battery lost more men in
action than all the rest of the regiment combined.
It is expected that Battery E will be able to leave Camp
Jackson next Monday or Tuesday in a body for Lenoir and arrangements have been
made to give the boys a great welcome home.
