The Pollyanna is the name of the new cafeteria that is to be opened on the second floor of the New Central Hotel building at noon Thursday. The first meal will be served beginning at noon. The usual cafeteria hours will be observed in the management of the place.
Miss Janie Matthews and Miss Lottie Hart, teachers in the Charlotte city schools, are proprietors of the cafeteria.
For the last year and a half, a cafeteria has been operated by the Y.W.C.A. in the quarters that have been taken over by Miss Matthews and Miss Hart. The Y.W.C.A. management disposed of the lease and equipment some days ago and the place has been closed since that time for overhauling and interior alterations and adjustment.
