Country Correspondence. . . Western Stanly

Jack Love is very sick, having been recently stricken with paralysis.

Mrs. Viola Taylor, who has been seriously ill, is improved.

Mr. and Mrs. D.M. Dry spent Saturday in Concord with their daughter, Mrs. I.A. Yow.

Miss Bertie Belle Burris of Bost Mill vicinity is spending this week with her aunt, Mrs. H.D. Love.

Floyd Furr, from Camp Bragg, is spending a 20-day furlough with his parents here.

Glen Turner of Akron, Ohio, is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Turner at Locust.

It is reported that Rev. Will Russell of Stanfield has recently married. We have ot learned the name of his bride.

Miss Ila Tucker has been confined to her home for several days on account of illness.
