Richard Gold Allsbrook Has Died, Feb. 10, 1925

Richard Gold Allsbrook

The tragic death of Mr. Richard Gold Allsbrook removes from activity a man who was sincerely loved and admired by a large circle of friends in this county and wherever he was known.

In all the walks of life, whether as an attorney at the bar, a solicitor representing the state, or as a friend, Mr. Allsbrook always left an impression of high character, great worth and warm and generous impulses that made him a friend of all with whom he came in contact.

Even those he appeared against in this county covering the years that he was solicitor recognized in him an honest man, desirous of doing his duty, and representing his state to the full extent of his ability in the capacity that she called him.

Mr. Allsbrook was a man exceptional in his judgments and many the time we have seen him submitting his case to the Judge presiding after conviction that he did not believe the crime merited the full extent of the punishment provided under the laws and requested mercy at the hands of His Honor.

The Wilson bar as well as the tribunals where he has been in the habit of practicing, and where his general smile has been seen and felt will miss him. They commend to his wife and children a splendid life that was free from malice and guile and well worthy of imitation by all.
