Miss Elvira Harris and Martin Hullender Jr. Married Here Saturday Night
Miss Elvira Harris, daughter of J.F. Harris, former register of deeds of the county, and Martin Hullender Jr. of Winston-Salem were married here Saturday night at the bride’s home on North Spring Street. Only relatives and few of the more intimate friends of the bride were present for the ceremony which was performed by Rev. J.C. Rowan, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church.
Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Hullender left for Winston-Salem, where they will make their home in the future.
The wedding of Miss Harris and Mr. Hullender is a social event of much interest to many people in this section. The bride’s family is prominently connected throughout the county and she is popular with a wide circle of friends. For several months she has been a student in a Charlotte business college.
Mr. Hullender is a teacher in the Winston-Salem schools and has been very successful in his profession.
