Tribute to Miss Annie Snyder, Feb. 7, 1925

A Tribute to Miss Snyder

The schools of Concord have been called on to mourn the loss of one of their best loved teachers.

Annie Snyder grew up in our schools and graduated with distinction from our high school. After finishing her course there, she graduated from Asheville Normal School and for six years has been one of the best loved and most efficient teachers in our city schools.

There was one thing that characterized everything that she did whether as a student in school or a teacher—she always did her very best.

No task was ever too hard for her and she filled every task with a smile. She radiated sunshine and happiness wherever she went.

She was devoted to her children and she was loved by every child that entered her room. She was loved and esteemed by her colleagues in school work. She had prepared herself well for her task and was a skilled workman that needed not to be ashamed.

She was a born teacher. She loved her work and she was eminently successful in it. She exemplified in her daily life the teachings of the blessed Master Teacher, whose she was and whom she served.
