They were entertained with popular music by Miss Sara Currie at the piano. Games were then enjoyed for a time.
At 10 o’clock all were invited into the dining room, which had been decorated for the occasion, using a color scheme of pink and white. The cake with 14 candles formed the centerpiece. Bowls of pink verbena and petunias were at each end of the table. Delicious cream and cake were served.
Then they repaired to the porch and lawn, and were served watermelon. Sticks of pink candy, wrapped in white and tied with pink ribbon were given each guest as favors. Upon opening them each found their fortunes within. This caused much merriment as they were read.
The guests were Mary Sasser and Myrtle Parker of St. Pauls, Sarah Currie, Sarah Clyde Sikes, Virginia and Rachel McNatt, Gertrude Spell, Annie Belle Edwards, Lonnie Blount, Dan Currie, Don and Lewis Williamson and Neil Hughes.
