Mrs. Thomas White Dies at Baltimore. . . Remains Reached Oxford Yesterday. . . Funeral Held from St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church This Morning—Interment at Elmwood Cemetery

Mrs. Kate Hunt White, relict of the late Thomas White, died at Memorial hospital, Baltimore, last Saturday night where she had been under treatment for several months.

Mrs. White was the daughter of the late James P. Hunt. One sister survives, Mrs. E.T. White of Oxford, two daughters, Miss Estelle White and Mrs. A.H. Taylor, and one son, Thomas White, all of Oxford.

Miss Estelle was at the bedside of her mother when the end came. Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Taylor left for Baltimore early Sunday morning to accompany the body to Oxford. The body reached Oxford Monday morning and was taken to the residence on Main Street. A large number of people called during the interval to offer condolence to the family. A son of the deceased, James White, died at Johns Hopkins hospital, Baltimore, more than five days prior to the death of his mother. Mrs. White’s condition was so serious at the time it was deemed advisable not to inform her of the death of her son.

Mrs. White was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, where the funeral rites will be conducted this morning at 11 o’clock by Rev. Lewis N. Taylor of Roanoke Rapids. The interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
