New Fireproof Vaults Protect Important Papers, Oct. 7, 1924

New Vaults at the Court House. . . Absolutely Fireproof. . . A Fine Job of Great Convenience

It is worth a trip to the court house to see the two new fire-proof vaults that have been installed at a minimum cost. The work was done by the Chapman-Hunt Company and everybody is impressed with the neatness and durability of the job.

The two vaults, one for the clerk of the court and one for the register of deeds, are the same size. The records are neatly arranged, and in the center of each of the vaults is a table on which top open the books for research work. The lawyers find the arrangements very convenient, and they speak in high terms of Judge Hunt, clerk of the court, and Mr. Charles G. Powell, register of deeds, who have “found a place for everything and everything in its place.”
