Martin’s Creek

We sure were glad to see the rain.

Mr. Floyd Crisp visited his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D.F. Burchfield, Saturday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Chastain moved to the lower camp recently.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Chastain moved to the Mr. Harley Abernathy’s place.

Miss Iva Moss and Miss Ida Chastain are teaching in our school this year.

Mr. C.J. Martin preached an interesting sermon at the Baptist church Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. D.F. Burchfield visited Mr. and Mrs. Will Rogers Sunday.

The meeting will begin at the Methodist church Thursday night, September 25th. [October 25th?]

The people enjoyed a signing on the highway Sunday afternoon.

There was a baptizing in Mr. C.F. Martin’s pasture Sunday afternoon.

Mr. J.F. Cunningham left Friday for Marietta, Ga., to attend the funeral of his mother, Mrs. A.H. Cunningham.
