Social Notes from Central Peachtree, Oct. 3, 1924

Sept. 30—Born to Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Smith, Friday, September 26, a baby girl.

Mr. J.C. Moss is on the sick list at this writing.

Mr. D.S. Burger went to Andrews Monday on business.

A lot of people form here attended the County Fair at Murphy last week-end. The weather kept a number at home.

Mr. and Mrs. Vester Palmer and children, and Mr. Bryson of Marble wee visiting relative here Sunday.

Rev. Stedman filled his regular appointment here Sunday afternoon.

Mr. Will Tabors will soon have his new house completed.

Mr. J.C. Davis will begin work on his dwelling soon.

Everybody that is able to work is invited to come to the cemetery next Saturday morning and bring some tools to work with. We want to destroy the weeds before the seed ripens. Tell the neighbors. If you have relatives or friends buried here you ought to be interested.

The Senior B.Y.P.U. is giving a play next Sunday night at 7 o’clock entitled, “The Downs and Ups of a Senior B.Y.P.U.” The public cordially invited to be present.

Mr. Dick Rice left Saturday morning to visit his mother in Pikerville, Tenn.

Mrs. C.A. Talley, after visiting her husband at the dam for several weeks, left for her home in Albemarle Monday.

Mr. Will Young is planning to move his family to Gastonia in a few weeks.
