Locals

Little Miss Frances Dickey celebrated her 14th birthday Wednesday evening with a lovely birthday party at the home of her parents in East Murphy. The guests were served punch as they entered. After enjoying several games of progressive bridge, Frances brought in the birthday cake with 14 candles burning on it. Frances sliced the cake and served it with coffee and a delicious frappe. Quite a bit of interest was manifested in seeing which of the guests would get the slices of cake containing the thimble, needle, penny, dime and nail. The guests numbered 10 or 12 of the older friends of Frances.
