Weinie and Marshmallow Roast For New Men, Oct. 8, 1924

Clio Literary Society Adds Five Men to Roll. . . Weinie and Marshmallow Roast Given New Men at Moonelon Park After Regular Meeting

The Clio Literary Society met Tuesday night, September 23, and added five new members to their roll, making a total of 24 new members. The following became new members: Conrad Donnell, C.L. Kimball, Albert Greenwood, E. Brinson, and D.E. Turner Jr.

It then adjourned from regular session and went in a body to the Moonelon Park, where they enjoyed a social feast. A weinie and marshmallow roast was the chief feature of the evening. After the feast they returned to the campus showing their Clioism and loyalty to their fellow members, students and college by giving several snappy yells and songs.

The girls of the Psykaleon and Psiphelion societies responded greatly by showing their loyalty to the dear old Clios who have always held a high esteem in the lives of the Elon girls, with appropriate yells and songs.

The society has bright prospects for the work of the ensuing year and expects to make this the greater Elon year in Clio history.
