Atlas L. Cheek, 44, Alamance county farmer, died at his home at Saxapahaw Monday following an illness of one month from a complication of diseases. Funeral was held Wednesday at Bethel church.
Mr. Cheek had for many years been connected with the general store of the mill company at Saxapahaw and was prominent in church and fraternities. Among his surviving relatives is a brother, M. F. Cheek, of Franklinville.
