Why Children Should Not Be Allowed to Drive Trucks in North Carolina, Aug. 17, 1926

Truck Turns Completely Over

Five persons were injured last Wednesday afternoon when a truck turned completely over. The truck was being driven by a small boy the name of Hall along the Franklin road near the home of C.C. Cagle when he drove it off an embankment about 10 feet high. Howard Childers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Childers, received the most serious injuries, being badly cut about the head, and three or four broken ribs. David received a bad cut just above his eye and other bruises. The Hall boy received several cuts and bruises. A little Childers girl, about 7 years old, received several cuts on her back, and a little boy about 3 years old also received a cut on the head and other bruises.

The injured were picked up by Mr. Zeb Angle of Franklin, who drives the Sylva bus, and brought to the office of Dr. Nichols, where they were treated before being taken to their homes.

All are reported to be recovering.
