Jury Retires to Think Over Fate of Stewarts

Wilmington, Oct. 11—At 11:30 tonight no verdict had been rendered by the jury in the Stewart case. Wilmington, N.C., Oct. 11—The jury trying the case of C.W. Stewart and his son, Elmer Stewart, on trial at Southport, Brunswick county, for the murder of officers Lilly and George, across the river from this city last July, retired at 9:15 tonight to deliberate upon a verdict. Arguments by attorneys were completed during the afternoon.
